Fun Fall Festivals to Check Out During Your Myrtle Beach Vacation

Fall is festival time in Myrtle Beach and there are so many going on that no matter when you visit us this fall, you’ll have a fun and cool event to check out. Here are a few of our favorites:

Ocean Lakes

Ocean Lakes Halloweekends – October 11-12, 18-19 and 25-26, 2019
Each Halloweekend, everyone at the campground decorates their campsites and comes together for a list of fun activities. Events include The Great Pumpkin Search, Creepy Site Crawl, pumpkin decorating/carving contest, a fun family show plus costume contests for kids, adults, groups and pets. Halloweekends are highlighted by Trick o’ Treat each Saturday from 4:30-6:30 PM.

 

Other Local Events

Aynor Harvest Hoe-Down Festival – September 21, 2019. 600 S. Main Street in Aynor, SC. This event features lots of fun, candy, a parade, tons of vendors and live music. It’s a bit of a drive but worth it for the great family fun.

Atalaya Arts & Crafts Festival – September 27-29, 2019. 16148 Ocean Hwy, Murrells Inlet, SC. Don’t miss the premier arts and crafts festival of the Grand Strand. Located at Atalaya at Huntington Beach State Park, this artsy event will have tons of handmade crafts and treasures for people of all ages.

Irish Italian International Festival – September 28, 2019 from 10AM to 4PM on Main Street in North Myrtle Beach. This international festival features outstanding food, live music, kids activities and more.

Surfside Beach Family Festival – October 5, 2019 on Surfside Drive in Surfside Beach, SC. This family event takes place from 10AM to 4PM and features tons of fun family events and vendors.

Myrtle Beach Oktoberfest – October 11-12, 2019 at The Market Common on Farrow Parkway. Sample beers from around the world, delish food and tons of fun activities for the kids too.

Little River ShrimpFest – October 12-13, 2019 at the waterfront in Little River. This annual event is well attended by the locals for the fresh shrimp cooked every way you can imagine, live music and family fun.

40th Annual Loris Bog-Off Festival – October 19, 2019 on Main Street in Loris, SC. This festival is a bit of a drive but worth the venture to sample all the best Chicken Bog the area has to offer. The event features a Chicken Bog cooking contest, vendors, kids activities and lots more.

Hippie Fest – October 26, 2019 from 12PM to 7PM at the Myrtle Beach Speedway in Carolina Forest. This fun festival features all things hippie so break out your finest tie-dye and come join the fun.

BooFest! at Barefoot Landing – October 26, 2019 from 12PM to 4PM at Barefoot Landing in North Myrtle Beach. This family Halloween event is fun for all ages so get those costumes on and come on down to enjoy plenty of Halloween fun.

Believe it or not, that is just a small sampling of the many events going on all over the Grand Strand! Fall is festival season and you can’t go wrong with a Myrtle Beach vacation this fall packed with fun at the campground and just about everywhere else!
