Vacation Rentals: The Affordable Alternative to Glamping
Definition of Glamping: A form of camping involving accommodations and facilities more luxurious than those of traditional camping.
While glamourous camping or glamping sounds too luxurious for the average person (and it certainly can be), it’s not too terribly difficult to get more ritzy than a tent on the ground. One affordable glamping option is a vacation rental. It is definitely more luxurious than roughing it with a tent and a tarp with the bonus of not having to hang your food from a tree to keep wild animals away from it. Here are some other benefits to choosing a vacation rental for your glamping retreat:
1. You have plenty of room. Vacation rentals typically have more square footage per person than hotel rooms, B&Bs and way more than tents.
2. You can probably find one in your dream location. Creekside cabin? House steps from the beach? Mountain cottage? Chic downtown loft? You can find all of those options and more among vacation rental offerings.
3. You choose the amenities that spell luxury to you. Whether you prefer a fire pit, hot tub, hammocks or an outdoor kitchen, almost any amenity you are looking for can be found in a vacation rental.
4. You have a home base. Shuffling from site to site is the pits. When you go out sightseeing, you don’t have to pack up camp and carry it with you and worry about finding a new campsite later. When you return to your vacation rental, everything will be just as you left it. No need to carry it on your back to keep it safe.
5. You can bring your pet. Want Fido to come along too? Pet-friendly vacation rentals are everywhere. So, you can bring your dog along on your adventures too.
6. You can sleep in without a maid busting in. Vacation rentals are typically cleaned between guests, which means no nosy maids banging on the door when you’re sleeping in.
While a vacation rental might not exactly fit the definition of glamping, it sure has all the benefits of a more luxurious accommodation than a tent would have. Who needs an overly-priced glamping vacation when you get so many great benefits from an affordable vacation rental?
